Idris: Maths and Physics Tutor + Robotics Coach

Idris is a calm and engaging GCSE Maths and Physics tutor who works to unlock each student's strengths and help them to grow in confidence.

"I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education (physics/mathematics) and am currently enrolled in Best Practice Network's NPQ-leading teaching program. I have over 12 years of teaching experience, including four years in UAE international schools teaching at various school levels."

I have coached students who have won international robotics competitions such as the World Robotics Olympiad, the first Lego league, and the first robotics competition. I can help with extracurricular activities at school.

A pragmatic teacher with over 12 years of success with students at both internal and external examinations. A calm, yet assertive class manager capable of dealing with students with challenging behaviour. Excellent team player, outstanding communication skills and capable of producing new teaching materials. Possesses creativity, critical thinking, and proficiency in the use of laboratory equipment. Taught in a wide range of secondary schools across all year groups using different teaching styles, including the use of electronic devices. Coached students who won several academic awards, qualified and won awards at the National World Robotics Olympiad, the First Global Robotics in Washington DC, USA 2017 and Dubai UAE in 2019.

I have diverse teaching and learning experiences in physics, chemistry, biology, further mathematics, and mathematics, making me qualified for your physics, science or mathematics teacher.

 

I am enthusiastic about teaching. I believe that if given the opportunity and support, all students can learn and succeed in science. I am committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
